April 8, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join us for a special PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK Pop-Up Event!

Take an hour out of your day to refresh and practice self-care with the UNMC Office of Public Health Practice.

Program Description:

Coping with COVID-19: leading, managing, surviving and thriving in turbulent times

With more than 100 million people told to shelter in place and socially isolate, everyone’s world has turned upside down. The COVID-19 epidemic presents a classic “VUCA” situation that calls for moving beyond mere crisis leadership—we need wisdom leadership. Join us for a webinar and discussion of how to lead, manage, survive and thrive during these turbulent times. We’ll discuss how stress impacts self and team functioning and strategies to help counter those negative impacts. We’ll explore questions to help you bring wisdom to your deliberations of how to move forward, we’ll help make the tie to equity impacts during these turbulent times, and talk about the role of compassion as we navigate the previously unthinkable. We’ll have some time also to connect and share. Hosted by Claudia Fernandez, DrPH, MS, RD, LDN.
